Rudolph DeFelice, President & CEO
Prior to founding PTI, Rudolph DeFelice practiced law as an associate and partner at some of the country’s largest law firms, including Kelley Drye & Warren (New York); McDermott, Will & Emery (Boston & Los Angeles) and Belin Rawlings & Badal (Los Angeles). His practice focused on corporate reorganization, creditors’ rights and intellectual property, and his clients have included many of the largest corporations, banks and technology companies worldwide.

Mr. DeFelice has been involved in innovating in legal technology for 15 years. He publishes and speaks frequently on the subjects of knowledge management, practice development and legal research. His scholarship on legal subjects has been published in professional journals and newsletters. Mr. DeFelice is active in technology and legal organizations. He has been elected to the Board of Governors and the Executive Committee of the Southern California Software Counsel and serves on the Corporate Legal Standards Advisory Board.

Mr. DeFelice was a full-scholarship recipient at the University Of Connecticut School Of Law, where he earned numerous academic awards, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1991. He is admitted to practice in New York, Massachusetts and California. Mr. DeFelice lives in Pacific Palisades, California, with his wife (an attorney) and two sons.

John Siegler, Sr. Vice President, Research Solutions & CFO
Prior to joining Practice Technologies, John Siegler was Chief Financial Officer at FasTV, Inc., a new media company focused on leveraging content partners' video assets on the Internet. Previously, Mr. Siegler was a principal at The Windsor Park Group, a boutique merchant banking and management consulting firm providing services on an international basis to clients ranging from small Internet start-ups to multi-billion dollar international service firms. Mr. Siegler began his career at Deloitte & Touche in the Management Consulting and Valuations groups and holds a JD/MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.  He brings ten years of entrepreneurial experience in finance, strategy, management, and operations to Practice Technologies.

Russell McGregor, Vice President & Chief Technology Officer
Russell McGregor is a Microsoft Certified Professional with over fifteen years of IT system analysis and software development experience. Prior to joining Practice Technologies, Mr. McGregor was the technical and engineering lead responsible for Walt Disney Internet Group's Video-On-Demand Project. The system was designed to acquire, manage and bill customers for video assets via an Internet-based, Video-on-Demand portal. Prior to joining Disney, Mr. McGregor was the Technical Director of the Newsroom product division at FasTV. There, he led the strategic vision for the development of the company's flagship product. In addition, he directed the development of a content management and acquisition system that saved the company over one million dollars in software licensing fees. Mr. McGregor oversaw a team of 14 software developers in the development and launch of the world's largest online searchable archive of streaming video content.  He has substantial experience with systems integration projects at major national and international law firms as a consultant and software engineer at Gilbert & Associates, and later a managing partner at the Gilbert Technologies Group, an international consulting firm with headquarters in Pacific Palisades, California. Mr. McGregor holds a bachelors degree from the University of Southern California in Finance and Information Systems and a Masters degree from USC in Motion Picture Producing.

Zacharias J. Beckman, Vice President of Engineering
Zacharias J. Beckman has over 20 years of experience in software systems development and IT management. He is certified in a number of technology standards, including PMI, SQA and SCM, and is currently writing the textbook Finding Your Way: Navigating The Methodology Maze, a roadmap to successfully adopting process within your organization. An advocate of best practices, he regularly teaches Rational Unified Process and Agile methodology classes. During his 20-year professional career, Zac has been involved in over half-a-dozen start up companies and over 10 multi-million dollar software projects. With Bold Software, Inc., Zac created Xerox(R) Sentinel™, a customer service and satisfaction system that lowered customer care costs by 70% and automated Xerox customer relations worldwide. Part of Sentinel™'s success is due to the invention of XPL, the Extensible Process Language. Zac designed and implemented the language to facilitate rapid process change and decision making. Earlier in his career, Zac partnered with TRW Information Systems to achieve ambitious automation goals in law enforcement on The Los Angeles County Sheriff Department's "Early Warning" decision support system. The project used Expert Systems intelligence to predict situations that required human intervention across the entire Sheriff's organization of 12,000 employees. Zac has conceptualized and developed several successful products, including Author!Author!™, FAST Workflow Manager, FAST Syndication Server, Guided Choice™, ProCare™, American Defender™, XPL™ and others. Most recently, he directed development efforts at Fios in the evidence collection arena and LegalEdge as architect of its second-generation legal case management information system.

Oji Nwankwo, Vice President Professional Services
Oji Nwankwo has extensive experience in the information technology, legal, and Internet applications industries. Prior to joining Practice Technologies, Mr. Nwankwo was Director of Business Development for POPcast Communications, where he was responsible for developing products that leveraged the company's automated video communications technology and for defining partnership strategy. Before joining POPcast, he spent two years as Director of Programming Partnerships at a prominent new media company where he was responsible for strategic planning, technology licensing, and corporate partnerships.  Mr. Nwankwo has worked in the corporate legal departments of Lions Gate Entertainment, Artisan Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company and HBO. He holds a JD from Boston College Law School, and is a member of the State Bar of California.

Kristine L. Collins, Vice President of Sales
Kristine Collins has twenty years of selling experience within the legal and training industries. Within the past ten years, she has achieved a reputation as a "troubleshooter", improving sales or initiating start-up sales groups for both challenging markets and/or new companies. Those companies include Pitney Bowes Management Services, Information Mapping, Cognistar Corporation and consulting engagements with the top legal corporations in the U.S. Ms. Collins has an extensive legal background in law firm management, finance and marketing. She is the author of Salesmanship for Attorneys: Building Your Practice Using Successful Sales Strategies from Corporate America, published by Aspatore Books (February 2007). Ms. Collins holds a B.S. and M.S. from Northern Illinois University.

Adam Long, SmartRules™ Product Manager
Before joining Practice Technologies, Adam Long practiced law at the Los Angeles office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he specialized in intellectual property, antitrust, and complex commercial and securities litigation.  Mr. Long holds a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, and a Master's Degree from U.C.S.D.'s inter-disciplinary Cognitive Science program. While at U.C.S.D. his research focused on applying cognitive science to user interface design and computer supported cooperative work.  Mr. Long helped plan and teach courses in cognitive science and user-centered design and worked for Apple Computer applying these principles to creating next-generation consumer electronics.
